Ferrum College alumnus Ralph Branch, a 2014 graduate of the Social Work program, was featured in a recent article in Appomattox’s Times Virginian. Branch (standing, far right in T. M. Gabrielson’s photo that accompanied the story) is a member of United Family Methodist Services, an organization that places children in loving, foster homes. A Dean’s List student while at Ferrum, Branch also accepted campus leadership positions, including serving as a mentor in the inaugural year of the Brother4Brother peer mentoring program. As student leader, and as a professional in the field of Social Work, Branch embodies Ferrum College’s motto: Not Self, But Others.
