Jade Jones '18Jade Jones, a senior from Appomattox County, is majoring in Biology with a minor in Agricultural Sciences. Jade is very involved around campus through various clubs and organizations including:

“I chose Ferrum because it felt like home. I had a dedicated group of people who genuinely wanted to see me succeed. I was given a lot of opportunities in and outside the classroom I may not have gotten if I went somewhere else,” said Jade, who wants to work as a researcher in a zoological facility after graduating in December 2018.

Assistant Professor of Animal Science Nancy Brubaker describes Jade as an enthusiastic and diligent student. “Jade focuses to not only acquire academic information but rises above because she strives to understand and apply her knowledge. She is a wonderful student,” said Dr. Brubaker.

Cutler Blankenship, President. Today is Cutler’s birthday! She is a senior majoring in Agribusiness with a focus in agronomy with a minor in business. When she graduates she plans to work for an agriculture based organization, such as an Agriculture extension agent, and eventually get her masters in agriculture policy. Cutler is Homecoming Princess at Ferrum and involved in the agriculture club, Farm Bureau Young farmers, Delta Phi Epsilon, and leadership fellows. She is also a Ferrum Ambassador and Farm Bureau ambassador. Her favorite thing about Ferrum is all the memories she has made here and opportunities it has given her.
